Roderick Cook was born on the 9th February 1932 in London, England and died on the 17th August 1990 in Los Angeles, California, USA (apparent heart attack, age 58). He was nominated for Broadway's 1987 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical) for "Oh, Coward!_x001d_ The production of which, he also devised.
His work as an actor spanned four decades from the 1950 s through the 1990 s. He is known for such films as IDLE ON PARADE(1959) ... aka Idol on Parade (USA), THE GREAT WALDO PEPPER (1975). The character of Count Von Strack in AMADEUS (1984), Von Klammer in GARBO TALKS (1984), A MORE PERFECT UNION: AMERICA BECOMES A NATION (1989). He also made many TV appearances and is most noted for such shows as: TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1992), MACGYVER (1988), NEWHART (1988), LOTSA LUCK (1973) and ONE LIFE TO LIVE (1968).
