Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and an ensemble of familiar Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical Camp Broadway Edition, an adaptation of the fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the town of Whoville, the Cat in the Hat, along with the ensemble, narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers. Although Horton faces ridicule and finds himself in a few predicaments along the way, ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Seussical Camp Broadway Edition highlights two featured characters, the Cat in the Hat and Horton the elephant, and two featured ensemble groups, the Whos and the Citizen of the Jungle. The ensemble groups can be customized to any size with plenty of lines for all cast members to be featured! You’ll also be introduced to George and Gigi Amsterdam, two important characters who introduce the audience to the world of the show and close the showcase with extra charm. It’s the perfect ensemble experience for kids of all levels!
