The weather outside's not frightful (yet), but now is the perfect time to choose your show for the upcoming holiday season.
One of our favorites is the perennial Christmas classic, MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, THE MUSICAL - based on the beloved Academy Award-winning 1947 film. This charming tuner previously titled, "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas," has been reinvigorated with a fresh new look and name, while retaining the same heart-warming feel of the original piece.
Meredith Willson, (acclaimed writer, composer, and lyricist of THE MUSIC MAN) brings this film to the stage, telling the the story of Kris Kringle, a white-bearded gentleman who claims to be the real Santa Claus. As the musical progresses, he brings about a genuine “Miracle on 34th Street,” by spreading a wave of love throughout New York City, fostering camaraderie between Macy’s and Gimbel’s Department Stores, and convincing a divorced, cynical single mother; her somber daughter (not to mention the entire State of New York) that Santa Claus is no myth.
MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, THE MUSICAL stays faithful to the heart of that classic movie, while introducing a touching score that includes such hits as "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" and "Here's Love".
