Willy Wonka JR.'s music and lyrics are by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley and feature many of the songs made famous from the same duo for the 1971 film, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The stage version was adapted by Leslie Bricusse and Tim McDonald and features a slew of the recognizable tunes in its score, including "Candy Man," "Pure Imagination," "Cheer Up, Charlie," "Oompa-Loompa," and "I've Got a Golden Ticket". 24 roles + ensemble.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory JR. has a reimagined score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can) and a new book by David Greig. 18 roles + ensemble. The classic favorites of "Candy Man", "I've Got a Golden Ticket", "Oompa Loompa", and "Pure Imagination" are all featured in the show. The remaining are brand new from Shaiman & Wittman.
