Congratulations to the Toronto production of THE TOXIC AVENGER, which was nominated for five Dora Mavor Moore Awards! The hilariously campy musical, based on the cult classic 1984 film, is about New Jersey's first superhero: a seven-foot toxic mutant who's out to stop global warming, save New Jersey, and date the pretty librarian. Joe DiPietro and Bon Jovi's David Bryan, currently represented on Broadway with their Tony nominated musical MEMPHIS, have written a rocking score and earnest, relatable characters that make you feel for them through your laughter.
