The Show Must Go On (Even When It's Off!)

When I have the night off, you might find me relaxing at home or taking in a new movie. When Broadway stars have the night off, naturally, you'll find them performing somewhere else!
The New York Times recently published an article detailing the popular cabarets frequented by none other than the theatrical elite of the Great White Way. Whether it's an old classic like Musical Mondays or a new favorite like Broadway Sessions, the chances of sneaking a peek at your favorite star offstage are looking pretty good!
If you're in the city and you'd like to check it out, you should! Jim Caruso, friend of MTI ShowSpace, is the host of Cast Party, an exciting open-mike show held every Monday night at Birdland in the Theater District. According to some, "It's the party that would happen if somehow David Letterman and Ed Sullivan threw a hip house party around the nine-foot concert grand piano!" To visit Jim and join in on the fun, check out his website.
