NBC's SMASH and iTheatrics have teamed up to create SMASH: Make a Musical, a non-profit program that is currently building self-sustaining, cost-effective musical theater programs in 20 underserved schools nationwide that have limited arts programs.

Additionally, SMASH: Make a Musical is inviting schools across the nation to apply to be a part of the Fall 2012 program.  Deadline for entries is March 2 and public voting for top 30 schools begins March 26.
