Local Communities are Buzzing about the Junior Theater Festival

Local communities around the country are buzzing about groups in their areas who are attending the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta.


The Ypsilanti Courier published a FANTASTIC feature story celebrating South Arbor Academy’s first trip to the festival.

The Herald Times Reporter ran a story about the Dare to Dream’s trip to the festival.  Dare to Dream also received an “orchid” from the Herald Times Reporter in the paper’s “orchids and onions” column.  Finally, even Santa was on board with Dare to Dream’s trip, as seen by the Herald Times Reporter extensive coverage of Dare to Dream’s Santa fundraiser for the Junior Theater Festival trip.

The Bay Area Citizen ran a nice piece for BATAVA, alerting readers that the group has been selected to perform in the New Works Showcase sponsored by Disney Musicals and inviting the community to see the group’s Junior Theater Festival send-off performance.

The Sarasota Observer’s Heidi Kurpiela made the news about Spotlight Theatre Productions’ trip to the festival her lead item and photo in her column.

The Community Press ran a great story celebrating Our Lady of Victory’s return to the Junior Theater Festival.

JPAS Theatre Kids!, NORD Crescent City Lights Youth Theater and Uptown Music Theatre are in good company.  Along with the New Orleans Saints and The Zurich Classic of New Orleans, The Gambit gave the groups a “bouquet” for their upcoming trip to the Junior Theater Festival in its “Bouquets and Brickbats” column.  The Macaroni Kid blog also ran a story promoting NORDC/Crescent City Lights Youth Theater’s family friendly benefit raising money for the groups’ trip to the Junior Theater Festival.
