Things are looking up in Duloc!  Banished no longer, the misfit fairy tale creatures from the quirky and spell-binding Broadway musical, SHREK, have found their happy ending at MTI.  We're happy to welcome Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, and their assorted wolf, elf, and gingerbread friends to the MTI family.  And now you can bring SHREK THE MUSICAL to your stage by signing up for our Fast-Track notification.  Licensing dates have not been set, but by signing up for Fast-Track notification, you'll be among the first MTI customers to know when SHREK THE MUSICAL becomes available for licensing.

SHREK THE MUSICAL, based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage.  In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand...and his name is Shrek.

Full of all-new songs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!  Its clever, yet heartfelt book and lyrics by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire (RABBIT HOLE) and dynamic pop-influenced score by multiple Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori (CAROLINE OR CHANGE, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE) create a goofy world where inner beauty doesn't always match its packaging, and what makes you different actually helps you belong.
