High/Middle School Licensing

The question you're answering.

In the Non-School Production section of the restrictions for Lion King it mentions performers must be in 9th grade or younger.  There is no mention of a grade restrictions for high school/middle school performances.  Our productions include both high school and middle school students.  Is it correct to assume that this restriction does not apply to school productions?

If you are a non-school organization (i.e. Children’s Theatre, Community Theatre, Professional Theatre) you must adhere to the following in addition to the above restrictions:

  • All performers must be in 9th grade or younger

Thank you!

This clause does strictly apply to all productions.  You will not be permitted to cast any actors older than the 9th grade in THE LION KING JR - there are no exceptions.
