College Auditions

The question you're answering.

I'm going to be auditioning for Musical Theatre Programs in a couple of months. i was wondering if anyone has suggestions for monologues or 16 bar songs that a bari-tenor male could use for an audition. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Very Nice!
I'm in livonia.
Oh wow, really? I go to Schoolcraft right now!
songs i'm not so worried about. but the monologue i have no clue what to do.
What kind of stuff shows your stronger points? Are you good with comical? Can you really bust out the dramatic stuff?
i'm great with comedy. drama i always seem forced when i do it.
Where do you live again? How far from me? I live in Canton
I knew that about Western. One of those songs could work. I can't think of how the song from Cinderella goes, but Carousel works :) as for a modern up tempo, I'm suggesting either "Erection" or the second half of "Not That Smart" from Spelling Bee. You could always try something from Rent or Tick Tick Boom for a modern feeling.
You sound just like me Brendan! Personally, one I have that is a strong one for me in my arsenal is "Unfortunate Erection" from Spelling Bee. That may be one to think about. Agony is in my repertoir, as well as "What do I need with Love" from Millie, "All Through The Night" from Anything Goes, "Shiksa Goddess" from L5Y, and some more in those likes. A few you may be able to use! Hope I helped! :) Where are you going, might I ask? I'm auditioning for Western's program next year!
I'm auditioning for western in february and i plan on auditioning for Oakland Univ and possible UMich. I can't sing into the woods for western be cause they said NO SONDHEIM. for my classical ballad i'm thinking either If I loved you from carousel or Do I love you because you're beautiful from cinderella. That ones a toss up. But i have no clue what to sing for a modern up tempo.
Agony...from Into The Woods...easily acted, irresistably adorable...look at other songs from Into The Woods. cheers.
