Set in New York City in 1933, Annie: Camp Broadway Edition follows the journey of a hopeful young orphan determined to find the parents who left her behind. The story begins in Miss Hannigan’s orphanage, where Annie and the spirited Orphan ensemble dream of brighter days while enduring the daily hardships of institutional life. Annie’s unwavering optimism shines when she sings “Maybe,” and the Orphans band together in the iconic number “Hard Knock Life,” revealing both their resilience and their longing for love and family.

An unexpected opportunity changes everything when an invitation is received at the orphanage from billionaire Oliver Warbuck inviting an orphan to spend Christmas at his mansion. Annie is chosen, and she is welcomed by the lively and attentive Warbucks Staff, who delight in introducing her to the world of comfort and kindness in “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here.” Though initially unsure what to make of Annie, Warbucks begins to see New York and his own life through her hopeful eyes during the vibrant ensemble number “N.Y.C.” As Annie charms the city and his staff, Warbucks announces a nationwide search for her parents, even taking to the Radio on the Bert Healy show to spread the word.

Back at the orphanage, the Orphans rally around Annie’s growing fame in “You’re Never Full Dressed Without A Smile,” celebrating her spirit while still wishing for families of their own. When the search reveals heartbreaking news that Annie’s parents have passed away, it is Warbucks who comforts her with a heartfelt reprise of “Tomorrow,” ultimately realizing that he wants Annie to be his daughter. In a joyful finale, Annie chooses to be adopted, and both the Orphans and the Warbucks Staff gather to celebrate their new beginning “I Don’t Need Anything But You.”
