Cast Size

Camp Broadway MyWay recommends a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 50 in the ensemble. Ensemble is divided into 2 groups.

Gigi Amsterdam

One of the narrators of the Prologue and Epilogue, which open and close the show. An older sibling to George, Gigi is spirited and imaginative, with a keen ability to focus and a clear eye for detail. An expert in stagecraft.

George Amsterdam

One of the narrators of the Prologue and Epilogue, which open and close the show. Gigi’s younger sibling, George, has a natural gift for storytelling and is unafraid to try anything. George and Gigi are time travelers who hold the key to Broadway’s past, present, and future.

Nathan Detroit

A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the big time. He loves Adelaide but cannot quit his gambling ways.

Miss Adelaide

Nathan’s fiancé and a lead performer at the Hot Box Night Club. She loves Nathan more than anything and desperately wants to get married.

Gender: female
Gamblers

Gamblers, pedestrians, workers, New York City folks of all types are part of this group.

Note: Some ensemble members represent recognizable characters throughout the show. For instance, two ensemble members represent Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown during a crossover in one of the scenes, but do not have dialogue as those characters. All lines outside of the main characters are shared by the ensemble to tell the story and give everyone a moment to shine.

Dancers

The Hot Box Farmerettes work in the club where Miss Adelaide is the headliner and perform in the act “A Bushel and a Peck.”
