Coming Soon…a stage version of the original movie musical 1660 Vine that looks into life as a social media influencer: creating and curating an artificial online identity that pleases sponsors, brands, and tens of millions of followers as the disconnect between your true self and your online self grows.
1660 Vine is an ensemble story of makeup tutorialists, stunt artists, models, pranksters, gamers, vloggers, and musicians who have found community in the luxury Hollywood apartment building they (temporarily) call home: 1660 Vine Street.
A tale torn from your social media feed, 1660 Vine was created by a diverse team of storytellers drawing from their own life experiences. The film is directed by Patricia McGregor – Artistic Director of the New York Theater Workshop, choreographed by superstar entertainer Paula Abdul, and music supervision from the team that oversaw the “High School Musical” franchise.
With distribution of the film in early November and a December stage premiere at Hollywood High School, 1660 Vine is primed for a buzzy landing to the beat of a joyful, passionate soundtrack of original songs.
